Too Hot to Handle
During the next two weeks we will explore heat (yes, I realize it is 20 degrees outside). For this blog, I would like you to research some heat-related appliances you use everyday at school and at home. Talk with your parents about the heating unit for your home. Does it run on electricity or gas? What is the thermostat? What do you do at home to help conserve heat?

At home to help conserve heat, I cook with my mom and use the stove.Heat runs on eletcicity.Heat energy moves in three ways,conduction,radiation and convection.A thermosta is a a box on the wall used to adjust the tempurture in any room.Heat is also the form of energy. MG

My house heat runs on gas. A thermostat is a thing that can control the temperture of the air. I help conserve heat when the heat is on I don't open a window or a door so all the air gets out. Heat related aplliances in my house are light bulbs, water heater, oven, toaster, and cofee maker.

Sometimes for breakfast when I help my mom cook she says"Be careful because it's very hot and it can damage your skin". Also when she cooks fries I want to have one french frie she always says"Don't touch the metal part of the warming drawer".
