After watching and reading about the Presidential Inauguration, I'd like you to reflect on what you think it means to be the President of the United States. Think about the responsibilities this person has to our government, the citizens, and to the other countries we work with.
In your reply, please share what you think our President's greatest challenges will be, how will he get Congress to support his ideas, and what do you think his legacy will be?
Please remember to include your initials. Thank you.

Being President to me means a tough job, many responsibilities, and a job to be proud of. The Presidents responsibilities are to keep citizens safe, try to make peace with other countries, and manage the Government.

If I were the president I would not be lazy but take everything seriously. First, I would help the United States become a better place. I would persuade the Government to make choices that would create positive change. Then, to help the citizens, I would keep our military home to defend the United States. Finally, I would try to make peace with people who don't like the United States or who have different opinions. *MLG*
To be the president is something greater than any other job there is and ever will be. You have so many responsibilities and only 4yrs. to try and do some of them better than other presidents. I think there would always be a crushing weight on your shoulders to help this country be a better place than after the last president had to give up his position to you. I think that Barack Obama's greatest challenges will be to withdraw most or all of the U.S. military out of Iraq, help our economy out of this drought that we are in, and to open up more jobs so that not as many people have to give up their house to the government. I think that he will get Congress to support his ideas because the Congress has more Democrats than Republicans, and he ran for president as a Democrat, and my second reason is that he will do what he thinks is best for the country and it's people, and I have a feeling that those will be good ideas. I think legacy will be that he was one of the better presidents that the U.S.A. has had since George Washington, the first black president ever, and to bring the economy out of it's second or third major drought in history. I think it is hard work being the president because some people won't agree with you and to decide what is best for the U.S. I think President Obama"s bigest challenge would be ending the war in Iraq because so we don't want more people to die. He should work with congress to make a plan. I think his legacy will be making peace.

To me being the president is like being the controller of the u.s. military, goverment, and laws.Obama is responsible for the goverment becuase he is the top branch. He is responsible for citizens because he controlls taxes. He is responsible for other coutries becuase if he does not make peace with them.I think some of his greatest chalenges will be being in charge of the military in wars and keeping up with family events.I think congress will aprove his ideas because they will probaly be good ideas. His legacy will probaly be being the first ever black president.

I think President Obmas biggest challenges are going to be how he is going to keep terrorists out of our contury and what he is going to do about people losing ther jobs. He could show Congress what terrorists do to the contry. The president is going to be remembered because he was the first black president.
