Georgia Regions

We've learned about the different regions in Georgia. Now I'd like you to compare and contrast two of the regions (explaining how they are alike and how they are different). Use specific details in your reply (terrain, climate, animals, types of habitats, population, crops, etc...).

Your reply needs to be at least 5 sentences in length and must have specific details (For example, "The piedmont region has trees." is not acceptable).

To help you get some ideas, please use your science resources or visit this link on Georgia Regions.

Please remember to include your initials at the end of your reply.

Date due: Friday, Sept. 4

Hello! I am comparing and conntrasting the moutains and the piedmont. Here is a contrast about the mountains. The mountain's climate is more rainy than the piedmont. Something about the piedmont is more effected by humans than the mountains.Something the same is they both have lots of different types of trees such as the oak. EWW

The wetland and the coral reef both have a lot of water like the rainbow trout. The mountains and the piedmont have birds and raccoons. The piedmont and the wetland have bugs like the mosquitoes. The coral reef and wetlands have at least some coral. The piedmont and the mountains both have peach trees.

The mountains are cold and the coastal plain is hot. The mountains have bears and bobcats. The coastal plain has woodpeckers and cranes. They both have minks and turtles. They both have pine trees and oaks. The coastal plain is flat and the mountains are hilly.

The coastal plain is a really flat area and the peidmont is like a area that have a couple of hills that go down toward the sea. The Piedmont has some rivers and so does the coastal plain. Actualy, all of the regions in Georgia have rivers. M.A.E.

The mountains and the wetlands are very different. The wetlands are low and the mountains are high. Alligators, frogs, fish and many more live in the wetlands. Bobcats and hawks and more live in the mountains. Mountains and the wetlands both have snakes.

The Blue Mountain gets more snow than the Costal Plains because the mountains are at a higher level than the Costal Plains.

The Costal Plains has more people than the Blue Ridge Mountain.

In the Costal Plains they have many recreation facilities, like water sports, walking on the beach scuba diving and fishing. The Blue Ridge mountain has camping, hiking and bicycling. LW

hello,
I picked the mountains and coastal plain. These are some of the animals that live in the coastal plain. Theres gopher tortoise, deer, bobcats, skunks, opossums, and racoon. In the mountains there are red squirrels, smoky shrews, lots of pine forests (where the red squirrels are found) G.M.
